PLAY Immersion 2011

Encourage your inner superhero with a weekend dedicated to being playful!

In 2011 we are hosting two Play Immersions.  The next one is

Play Immersion CT

June 24 – 26, 2011 Oxford, CT

We just had a very successful and outrageously fantastic time at Play Immersion TX.

Most people think play is just for kids. Not us…we think adults (or ‘big kids’ as we like to say) should be able to play too. Especially because it encourages playfulness and creativity. So why not go somewhere to learn awesome things, but also to just relax and play for the sake of playing. Everyone is invited to share ideas, toys and big smiles. Beginners, experts and anyone in between will leave with new experiences, new skills and new friends.

PLAY Immersions are three day camping events for playful people of all ages.  Younger kids are welcomed, but usually it’s the parents and older kids who are there to learn and play.  We usually feature over 20 “Play”shops on at least 12 different toys and skills lead by inspired and talented teachers. TryOut Toys provides spheres and other toys so you can play even if you have no toys of your own. Depending on which one you attend, there are also sphere games, fire play, the raffle, special guests, a talent showcase, fire circles, drumming, dancing, live music, a DJ and countless other ways to encourage your inner superhero.

Our friend Sennyo of Aether Arts made this to give a little taste of what SphereCamp 2010 was like.  Play Immersion CT is at this same beautiful location!

See what fun we all had?

Last  year we tried out a new place for SphereCamp CT.  Schreiber’s Farm is a working farm with over 350 acres of woods, rolling hills, ponds and a river, too!  Imagine a beautiful place, awesome people and lots of toys. It’s was so much fun we’re doing it there again as Play Immersion!
